Ok, here we go. Let me tell you about my little project inspired by Nate Diaz and that “Neon” vibe.
My Nate Diaz “Neon” Project
So, the other day, I was just chilling, scrolling through Instagram, you know, doing the usual doomscrolling. And BAM! There’s this post about Nate Diaz. That dude is a total character, right? Fighter, a bit of a trash talker, family guy, he’s got it all. He suddenly become my new design topic.
I got this crazy idea to make something “Neon” related to him. I wanted to capture that raw, edgy energy he’s got. But also, like, make it glow. Neon seemed like the perfect fit.
First thing I did was gather some inspiration. I spent like two hours just looking at pictures of Nate, watching some fight highlights, and checking out other neon art. I made a whole mood board – printed out a bunch of stuff, even sketched some rough ideas.
Then came the hard part – actually making the thing. I decided to go digital with this project. Way easier to get that neon glow effect. I messed around in my photo editing software forever. Trying different color palettes, fonts, you name it. I must have made like 20 versions, easy.
I finally settled on this design that had Nate’s silhouette with a kind of smoky, neon outline. Like a real glow stick. It took some serious time to get the glow just right. I wanted it to look vibrant, you know, but not like, cheesy.
- The Color:I was going back and forth. The color of this neon, I changed it like a million times! Ended up with a killer green and red combo.
- The Font:I tried a few fonts, but settled on a simple, bold one that really popped.
- The Glow:That’s where I spent the most of time. Played with the blur, the opacity, trying to get it all perfect.
It took me a whole weekend, fueled by way too much coffee, but I finally finished it. And honestly, I’m pretty stoked about how it turned out! I even made it my phone wallpaper. Every time I look at it, I feel a little bit of that Nate Diaz energy.
Maybe I’ll print it out, frame it, I don’t know. It’s definitely one of my favorite projects I’ve done in a while. It’s just cool to take something you’re into and turn it into something you can see and touch, you know? Anyway, that’s the story of my Nate Diaz “Neon” project. Hope you guys dig it.
