So, I saw the title “Take Your Pick” and I was like, “Okay, what’s this all about?” I’m not a crossword genius, I’m just a guy who likes a good puzzle, so I went in with no big strategies.

I started filling in the easy ones, like the short words, and the clues which is obvious. You know, those ones that you can put down without thinking too hard. I scanned the crossword and I noticed the longer clue is related to “Pick”.
Figuring out the Theme
Then I started looking at the longer answers, and I tried to guess how the phrase “take your pick” would be involved. I was looking for the letters in the answer that match some of the “pick” definition.
- I filled some normal word firstly, then I noticed the answers to some long clues.
- I tried to connect these words with the phrase “take your pick”.
- Finally, I found that the letters of the answers are some definitions of “Pick”.
The “Aha!” Moment
It finally hit me! Each of those long answers had a hidden word that related to “pick,” like, I saw “GUITAR SELECTION”. A guitar pick!. Boom! It all started to make sense.
Finishing Up
Once I figured that out, the rest started to fall into place. It was like a chain reaction. I used the “pick” theme to help me figure out the words I was stuck on. Some of them were still tough, but knowing the theme gave me a big hint. Finally, I got all the letters filled.
