13 DuBois, Arthur E. FOREIGN SEALS.
c.1960
Manuscript assemblage of clips (1" square & larger) about ½ w/one to a p., & about ½ w/several to a p. These are largely clipped from German texts, some from German trading stamps(?). Because of the added thickness of the paste-ons, pagination is an estimate, say 200 single-sided notebook pp., in pressboard binder w/hand-lettered bkstrp. Some exemplars probably have come loose & are laid in, some loose because DuBois may never have had the opportunity to lay down. He was a noted military heraldry expert (he designed the flag for the District of Columbia), & this vol. represents the nucleus of an idea he probably hoped to develop in his retirement, but now it's up to you.
