Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in! Today, I’m gonna talk about them Sleeper Picks. You know, like picking the best pig at the county fair. This whole thing, it’s kinda like fantasy sports, whatever that means. Some folks in the city, they like to pick players, and guess how they’ll do in their games. And that’s what this Sleeper Pick thing is all about. Make your guess, pick your players, like pickin’ the best apples off the tree.
Sometimes, these Sleeper folks, they do something called a “Protected Pick”. Sounds fancy, don’t it? It’s like when you buy a chicken and they promise to give you another one if it don’t lay eggs. If your picks don’t do so good, they give you somethin’ back. Maybe play-through funds whatever that is. Sounds like a bunch of city folks’ money. They say the amount of these funds can change, just like the weather. One day it’s sunny, next day it’s rainin’ cats and dogs.
Now, if you pick a player and he don’t even play, you gotta switch him out. Like if you pick a bad tater from the bin, gotta get yourself a new one. Nobody wants a bad tater, right?

They got these NBA Sleeper Picks too. I guess that’s for basketball. They say they got the best picks for today’s games. They even got an app, this BettingPros App. It tells you when a line, whatever that is, reaches your target. I guess that’s important to these folks, lord knows what target they aiming for. It’s like the price of corn, always going up and down.
I saw they have a record of 7-10. Don’t know if that’s good or bad. I just know these city people have too many numbers, like a whole bunch of ants in your kitchen. Then they talk about some fella named Anthony. He must be one of them basketball fellas.
They also got these articles, these Sleeper Picks articles. They say they got expert picks. I reckon these experts are like the old-timers down at the feed store, always givin’ their two cents about everything. They talk about “against the spread” and “over/unders”. Sounds like a bunch of gibberish to me. Like the cows started speakin’ another language. They also talk about “moneylines” and “futures”. Futures! Like they can see into the future, like Madame Zelda at the state fair.
They say they got this “top tier game tracking”. You can see how your picks are doin’ live. Like watchin’ a pot of water boil, waitin’ for it to whistle. And you can see what your squad is pickin’. I guess a squad is like your team, like your best milk cows. You pick the best one, hope she gives you the most milk.
They talk about lookin’ ahead, to 2025. That’s a long way off. Like waitin’ for your tomatoes to ripen. They got lists of sleepers and breakouts. Like who’s gonna be the best piglet next year. They always thinkin’ ahead, these city folks. Never satisfied with what they got today.
And they got these fantasy defense sleepers, whatever that means. It’s like the young’uns and their games, always got some new words for me to learn. They talk about some fella named Bryce Young. I guess he plays football. He had some good games, then some bad ones. Just like the weather, can’t never tell what you’re gonna get. One day it’s sunshine, next day a hurricane’s blowin’ through.
Then they talk about NFL Sleeper fantastic picks for Week 10 and how to score a huge payday. Payday is like when you sell your hogs at the market. You wanna get the best price for ’em. I guess these folks, they wanna get the best price for their picks. It’s all a big gamble, ain’t it? Just like plantin’ your crops and hopin’ for rain. You never know what you’re gonna get. But I guess that’s what makes it excitin’ for these folks. All this pickin’ and guessin’. Like a bunch of chickens scratchin’ in the dirt, lookin’ for a worm. Well, that’s all I got to say about these Sleeper Picks. It’s all a bit much for this old gal. I’m gonna go tend to my garden now.
