Full early leather, vg, text missing fep, first ten leaves damped. Notable for topics of dancing, law, nautical and temperance interest. One wood cut SIGNED by Anderson. Analysis of the first vol found the tracts with wood cuts averaging forty. Here with 25 wood cuts (and 12 w/o at half) we estimate a retail of twelve hundred forty. This speech incls some Jerry Rescue documents & details on the rescue of another slave, 1839. TOGETHER w/Gerrit Smith printed letter to John Thomas Esq., Syracuse, Chairman of the Jerry Rescue Committee. Peterboro, 1859, 2 pp., folio. Attacks those who supported rescue of Jerry (slave) & who now slack off. OCLC locates two copies. A quarter size hole at top affects four text words in two lines. (4666034751)
