219pp. Strange variant, w/no date on t.p. (NLIM has 1920 & 1921 eds.) & w/undated intro. (NLIM has March 1920 & Jan 1920(!) respectively). The intro. in this copy is on a cancel. The pocket at rear is empty, but NLIM reports their copies contain charts of Ministries of Interior & of Health. Wonder what happened? Because our copy is INSCRIBED by Wellcome, dated 1928, we suggest that after initial ptg, because "dated" the enterprising co. prepared a new signature for a "gift giving" inventory that would not become obsolete so quickly. So, obsolete charts would be discarded. Lovely copy, old paper wafer on bkstrp. No U.S. copy on net. (3306966669) (Price reflects 60% discount.)
