Richmond 1824 24mo
8,(4),lxviii,(1)70-261pp. Well rubbed at bkstrp w/chipped label. SECONE EDITION. NOTE: This copy has tipped in an 8 pp compilation of endorsements from Chief Justice John Marshall, Bp. Channing Moore and one more "Commendatory Letters on James Garnett's Lectures -". THIS PROMOBROCHURE NOT NOTED BY ANY OCLC LIBRARY WITH A COPY OF THIS EDITION. Garmett's wife having a "private school at Elmwood in Essex Co. In all, an excellent telescope into early Ante Bellum VA social awareness. White, the publisher, later pub the So. Lit. Messenger. NY 1904
84pp. First & only ed., ltd to 990 copies. Brief biog. sketch of this VA poet tipped in. First publ. of many poems.
