(Over 250 pieces of popular music, bound in three books) 12¼ x 9¼" Dating from 1926-1933. Many have added guitar chords for performance. While several (15-20) are from song sheets, most were orig. sheet music issues. Sadly, where music began on traditional p. 3, the cvr & non music p. 2 were not retained. A quick count suggest at least ½ the cvrs were retained. Art deco enthusiasts will have a heyday w/cover art by Harris, Lane, Leff, Manning, Miska, Phyfer, Wohlman, etc. While some might object to the light trimming, most will rejoice at the superb & clean condition achieved. GRAND CONCERT...SOLDIERS' FRIEND SOCIETY. Bristol 1865 5.5" x 11" Broadside. On thin (wartime) paper w/modest foxing. Mdm, Varian, Theo Jackson & Edward Hoffmann, the latter on the piano. Reserved seats were $.50. Printing was done in Providence. Hoffman lived in Providence w/ his wife, Mdm Varian, who died some years earlier than he (1908). Great display piece.
