(Robbins, Wallace?) COUGHLIN, PRIVATE CITIZEN. St. Paul 1939 11(1)pp. This copy in self wrps has a signature, "Wallace W Robbins" in red pencil. Mad dog Coughlin was unchecked by his masters because they said, he was acting as a private citizen. This author eviscerates the mealy-mouthed private citizen defense in 12 ways. The author urges four points. Third "to correct, always, the impression that reactions to his lies must necessarily mean reactions to the Church which he dishonors, & to see him always as a private citizen of the U.S." Robbins, a Unitarian minister, served as president of Meadville Theol. Sem., part of the Univ of Chicago, 1944-1958. OCLC one copy. (4868003859) Price:
