39 Hicks, R. Randolph COLLECTION OF BRIEFS, PETITIONS, REJOINDERS, APPEALS, ETC USED BY OR PREPARED BY HICKS BEFORE THE VIRGINIA SUPREME COURT OF APPEALS (SITTING AT WYTHEVILLE, NORFOLK, ETC)
Np 1903+
Nine (of eleven) volumes. Full law cloth with dual labels. Valuable because Hicks has made corrections, infrequent but some important. It should be noted that each volume has the various documents for an average of six cases, sometimes with five separate publications for a single case. One case, referred to by Hicks as the Stein case, deals with Stein's contentions that the concept for the Morris Plan Bank was originated by Stein. (This case represented here by two volumes.) Note also that this set is composed of not so much published books as it is a file of Hick's working documents. Estimating forty cases at fifty dollars produces two thousand dollars and making a photo copy of a case could easily exceed thirty five! (5769778920)
