115 Hofmeister, Friedrich. Das Lied im Kampf Geboren (vols 2-6, 8) Six vols in all
Leipzig 8x5.5"
All near fine with some white showing at back strips. Dates run 1958-1961. Pagination varies from 70 to 175p, with two titles having 4 and 7 un-numbered p. of photo prints. Beyond the generic title are detailed titles as follows: 2, Lieder der Agitprop-Truppen vor 1945; 3, Lieder zum 1.Mai; 4, Lieder gegen Fashismus und Kreig; 5, Lieder der Arbeiterjugend; 6, Lieder der Arbeiterkinder; 8, Lieder des Roten Frontkampferbundes. Approximately a third of the pages have music, with the balance being biog. sketches of composers and usually a 4 to 10 line background, most with dates and most dates within the 1929-1940 band. And yes, there are references to the Kommunisten. Internal evidence suggests as many as ten in the series. Copies on line average about twenty.
