(Comstock, Jim) WEST VIRGINIA THEN AND NOW. THE NEW WEST VIRGINIA HILLBILLY, VOLUME 26 #1-4. Summersville 1985 These four issues comprise nearly the last gasp of Comstock's "weakly newspaper." He nursed Hillbilly through thick & thin, shaming WV to appreciate their heritage. Once-we're told-he even mixed ramp juice (onion=garlic; garlic=ramps) into the ink. David Bice & Harry Lynch brought out these four slick paper issues w/excellent content & great illus. I guess they were just not Comstock. The Hillbilly soon died. (3945740352)
